The problem
The grade portal shows the official average but hides whether anything is actually missing. The assignment portal shows every missing thing but not how much any of it counts. Nobody shows you both.

Your Home Access Center login and a parent-level Canvas observer account — the same access you already have, nothing new to request from the school.
Grades from the SIS, real missing/late status and due times from the LMS, matched course by course and weighted the way your district actually grades.

What actually arrives
This is a real report from the product, generated by the same thing that would write yours — about a student who doesn't exist, because a real one's grades are nobody else's business.
Biology is the problem: the course average is 68%, and a 100-point Cell Transport Lab Report is sitting missing in a category that counts for 100% of the grade. A 50-point World Geography case study is also missing in a 100%-weight category. Everything else is at 84% or above.

No. Know Before Zero is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any school district, PowerSchool, or Instructure. Home Access Center and Canvas are the products of those companies; we simply connect to the accounts you already have permission to use.
It's encrypted at rest, decrypted only inside the automated job that fetches your data, and never stored in plain text or logs. It's erased within 24 hours of your subscription ending.
Rare, but possible. If it happens to your district, we refund the unused part of your year — the product stopped being deliverable, so you stop paying for it. You won't be asked to justify it.
Yes, from your own account — no email, no phone call. Billing is annual and there's no contract. You keep full access through the end of the year you've paid for, and within the first 14 days you can take a full refund instead, for any reason.
Yes. Most districts don't open the assignment portal until middle school. Until then, Know Before Zero tracks grades and schedule straight from the SIS, and adds assignment tracking automatically the year it becomes available.
